Repairs

Failure to have faults reviewed and repaired can often lead to much bigger issues and could cause your vehicle to become unroadworthy, and in extreme cases illegal to drive.

General repairs are often inexpensive, especially when compared to the cost of repair for major faults that can occur when general repairs are not dealt with in good time.

Diagnostics

We continuously invest in the latest diagnostic and service tools, enabling us to offer a wide range of services.

If illuminated warning lights appear on your dashboard you may need a diagnostic check of your vehicles engine control computer (ECU).

Using the latest manufacturer recommended solutions, in conjunction with our knowledge and experience, we can identify and diagnose vehicle computer faults correctly and recommend a suitable resolution.

Air conditioning

Helping to keep you cool in the summer and your windows demisted in the winter, air conditioning systems have become an essential feature, but without the due care and attention afforded to other aspects of vehicle maintenance performance will suffer.

Most manufacturers recommend that the air conditioning system is serviced every two years, to replenish the liquids used by the system and to ensure all components are working correctly. Your car manual will give you the specific requirements for your car.

Please be aware that should your system require repair, such as a leak or failed component, this will not be included in the cost of a service.

Brakes

As with every aspect of vehicle maintenance, safety is paramount. When you need to stop quickly and safely you should have no doubts concerning the efficiency of your vehicle’s braking system.

Signs of brake wear are not always obvious, but even the simplest wear and tear issues can cause a dramatic reduction in performance. Any suspected issues, such as brake judder or squeaking, along with general performance, should be checked regularly by a professional.

Our experts can undertake visual or full brake inspections to identify the poor condition of brake pads, brake discs, callipers and cylinders, plus fluid levels and brake lights.

Exhausts

Your vehicles exhaust system exists to remove harmful gasses and particles from your vehicle, and reduce its environmental impact, but over time the system can start to display signs of wear and tear.

Damage to your exhaust system can influence the performance of your vehicles engine.

Signs that repairs and replacements may be required include a change to engine noise level whilst driving, emission of excessive smoke from the exhaust, a low hanging or dragging exhaust pipe.

Your exhaust system should be checked every 60,000 miles or once a year, with any changes to performance or noticeable issues investigated immediately.

Clutches

A clutch transmits power from your engine to your gearbox. It also isolates the engine from the gearbox which allows gears to be changed.

Common issues include Clutch Slip, Clutch Judder, Air in the Hydraulic line and errors to clutch cable and cylinders.

If you suspect any of these issues are occurring do not delay in having further investigations carried out, it may be that issues are spotted in good time and full clutch replacement is not required. In these instances, the cost will be considerably lower.

In the most severe cases full clutch replacement will be required, in these instances it will be necessary to remove the gearbox.
